Stay Current with Tax Regulations Updates with DDTC's Newest E-Book!

JAKARTA, DDTCNews - The government continues to carry out a series of tax reforms in Indonesia to strengthen fiscal resilience. One of the prominent reform agendas is the implementation of Law 7/2021 concerning the Harmonisation of Tax Regulations (HPP).

As per current developments, the government has issued four derivative regulations of the HPP Law. The regulations stipulate income taxes, VAT, sales tax on luxury goods and procedures for the impositions of taxes, including the regulation of carbon tax.

The government has performed amendments through Gov. Reg. in Lieu of Law 2/2022 as a follow-up to the Constitutional Court decision Number 91/PUU-XVIII/2020 as well as synergised tax regulations with the HPP Law.

In addition, the government has issued regulations that broaden the tax base by extending taxes, regional-based supervision and improving tax administration.

In line with the dynamic movements, taxpayers are required to keep up with and understand the latest tax provisions in Indonesia. This has prompted DDTC to publish a book entitled DDTC Indonesian Tax Manual (ITM) 2023 in electronic format (e-book).

Authored by DDTC professionals, this e-book is expected to contribute to increasing society’s tax literacy. There are 13 chapters in the e-book, as follows.

The e-book is available in English and accessible from 14 February 2023. On the same date, DDTC will hold a talk show entitled Uncovering Indonesian Tax Regulations through a Digital Platform.
